North West Night League 2009-2010Sat 7th Nov - DEE event at Bickerton Hill As usual Chris Rostron will be producing the North West Night League Table.
The following is a brief description of the rules of scoring. Results so far:
Saturday Morning Events - Autumn 2009Our Sprint series in the Spring proved to be very popular with a lot of our competitive-minded members,so we have thought up a format based on Score events that could prove equally popular, but we will also offer a "line" course for beginners who may find the score events a bit complicated. The following courses will be available: 1) Simple score course with 15 controls on your map. 2) Advanced score course where the map has 15 controls marked, at 10 of these
there will be a map revealing the position of 10 more controls - making 25 in total.
You are not allowed to punch an extra "slave" control until you have punched the "master". 3) Easy "line" courses, very suitable for beginners. For courses 1 and 2 everybody has 45 minutes to visit as many controls as possible. All controls are worth 10 points. There is a time penalty - you lose 10 points for every two minutes (or part thereof) that you are late back. Remember to bring a watch. Registration from 10.00 to 11.00. Fees: £3.00 senior and £1.50 junior. No charge for dibbers (but £25 if not returned). These events are designated as Sprint Score Events in the DIARY section. The full list can be seen on the Fixtures page. Series co-ordinator: David McCann 0161 483 2061
